Performance Marketing Manager

Foundry512 is seeking a Performance Marketing Manager who is not only a strategic visionary but also an expert in health and wellness sectors, specifically with experience in large-scale media campaigns for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and major retail or service providers. This individual will lead client campaigns, direct brand teams, and play a vital role in refining the agency’s media buying processes. This hands-on position is responsible for planning, strategy, execution, and oversight of performance marketing initiatives across multiple channels. The ideal candidate has substantial experience managing performance media campaigns across diverse channels, including paid search, e-commerce, social, and emerging platforms, and is a seasoned leader passionate about data-driven marketing, with a meticulous eye for optimizing campaign outcomes and delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development

  • Act as a thought leader and expert in performance marketing, specializing in health, wellness, and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Manage and lead planning, strategy development, and execution of performance-based campaigns across platforms such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, and emerging channels.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and collaborate with clients to build custom media strategies, with a deep focus on delivering results through digital channels.
  • Establish and refine agency processes to drive growth and efficiency in performance marketing efforts, ensuring client goals align with media execution strategies.
  • Design effective SEM/PPC campaign architectures with guidance from department leadership, optimizing for client goals and aligning with best practices in performance marketing.
  • Leverage Google Smart Bidding strategies including tCPA, tROAS, Maximize Conversions, and Maximize Conversion Value to enhance bid efficiency and drive measurable campaign outcomes.

Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Manage and optimize high-budget campaigns across multiple platforms, including paid search, display, e-commerce, social, and programmatic, to maximize impact and ROI.
  • Execute comprehensive A/B testing and optimization strategies to refine targeting, messaging, and overall performance.
  • Leverage analytics and performance data to conduct in-depth campaign analysis, using platforms such as Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, and PowerBI to make adjustments as needed.
  • Partner closely with brand, creative, and account teams to ensure campaigns are seamlessly executed and aligned with client objectives.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Work with the analytics team to track, measure, and report on campaign KPIs, leveraging tools like Looker Studio, Campaign Manager 360, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Ensure effective implementation of conversion tracking, attribution models, and reporting techniques to drive actionable insights.
  • Present findings and insights to clients, utilizing data visualization and storytelling techniques to communicate results effectively.

Team Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships and act as a mentor within the media team, fostering an environment of growth and innovation.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and training to junior team members, supporting professional development and team cohesion.
  • Oversee bid management, budget allocation, and resource planning for performance campaigns, focusing on maximizing efficiency and resource optimization.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Take charge of budgeting, IOs, and invoice reconciliation, ensuring financial accountability and effective management of client resources.
  • Forecast and manage budget levels according to client goals, making adjustments to maximize return on investment.
  • Cultivate relationships with media vendors, staying informed about new trends and opportunities in the media space that could benefit clients.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in performance marketing, with a minimum of 3 years leading large-scale campaigns in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or major retail sectors; proficiency in managing $5M+ media budgets is required.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong experience with Google Ads, Performance Max, Search, Shopping, UAC, and familiarity with Apple Search Ads and Retail Media Networks. Advanced knowledge of automated bid strategies, including tCPA, tROAS, and Maximize Conversions/Conversion Value.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in media attribution, data analysis, and experience with analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Adobe Analytics, Placer.ai).
  • Tools & Software: Familiarity with media planning and buying software such as Campaign Manager 360, Kantar, Comscore, Nielsen, and Marin or Kenshoo.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams, with strong organizational and mentoring skills.

  • Industry Knowledge: Background in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and public health.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous, proactive, and able to work independently while engaging with team members as needed.
  • Communication: Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with experience building client decks and data-driven presentations that emphasize key takeaways.
